Athletics Business Operations Coordinator
Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Athletics Business Operations Coordinator at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Business Administration, Sports Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience).
- Experience supporting administrative and business operations processes.
- Experience utilizing various financial management systems and platforms.
- Previous experience in athletic administration or coordination preferred.
- Knowledge of WSU administrative systems preferred.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, with previous experience in collegiate athletics preferred.
- Technological Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Docs. Familiarity with, or ability to learn, University technology/administrative systems.
- Teamwork Skills: Outstanding interpersonal abilities to build cooperative, effective relationships, facilitate communication and understanding among individuals in a professional manner. Ability to build consensus, anticipate problems and difficult situations, and develop mutually agreed-upon strategies and/or solutions.
- Organizational Skills: Keen attention to detail, ability to establish and meet deadlines, ability to work under pressure and to function independently. Prioritizes and plans work activities; adapts to changing conditions. Finds a way to achieve the stated goals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of WSU within a multicultural and diverse community. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Customer Service Skills: Responds promptly to requests for service and assistance. Practices follow-up to ensure customer needs are met.
- Initiative: Takes independent action. Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles. Seeks out creative solutions with the team to solve existing and new challenges.
