Our client, a well-established commercial construction firm in Ohio, is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join their growing team. 📍 Location: On-site in Ohio (must be able to commute)
💼 Position Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
💰 Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 Depending on Experience
What You'll Do:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects (ground-up, retail, federal, etc.)
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the bid process
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and review subcontractor quotes
- Assist with value engineering and budgeting phases
Requirements:
- 5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction
- Education from a U.S.-based institution (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field)
- Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Must be local or able to reliably commute to the project location in Ohio
