Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage tax filings and ensure timely submission of all required documentation.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash records.
- Record journal entries for all transactions in accordance with accrual accounting principles.
- Oversee general ledger accounting activities, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.
- Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
- Interpret financial reports to assist management in decision-making processes.
- Stay updated on securities law and regulatory changes that may impact the organization’s financial practices.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, demonstrating expertise in tax, corporate finance, and financial statement preparation.
- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and journal entry management.
- Familiarity with accrual accounting methods and general ledger functions.
- Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records.
