What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Art Studio Assistant position at Wesleyan University?
The Temporary Studio Assistant will report directly to the Studio Art Program Director and work closely with the Studio Art Technician and Digital Design Technologist to support a broad range of studio production.

- Assistance and technical support in equipment and facility usage in the Print Shop, the Photography Darkroom, the Woodshop, Digital Design Studio, and Thesis Studios.
- Organizing and handling art supplies and storage areas.
- Assisting in equipment maintenance (training provided).
- Supporting technical demonstrations in the classroom.
- Overseeing student staff in production areas.
- Other duties as needed.
This is an on-campus, non-benefit eligible, position working up to 20hrs per week from August 19, 2024 through June 13, 2025.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Familiarity with analog Photography equipment.
Experience in analog printmaking techniques.
Familiarity with woodshop equipment.
Familiarity with woodshop equipment.
Knowledge of Adobe Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an arts related field.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to problem solve and work independently.
