What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health and Human Resources Specialist, Senior - Health - BPH - Kanawha Co. position at West Virginia?
The immediate supervisor for this position is the Associate Director. This position will provide program area leadership, technical assistance, and coordination to ensure community projects and programs are maximally effective and improve the health status of rural, under-served communities in West Virginia. This position will seek and apply for federal grants as well as provide technical assistance to community partners applying for federal grants. This position will identify community programs across the state, communicate opportunities with partners and be responsible for communication projects that highlight successes in rural WV. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, laws, policies, and procedures. Has responsibility for the development of standard operating procedures and for monitoring, tracking, and reporting of program activities. This position acts as lead worker for specific projects and completes the sub-recipient grant process to ensure federal funds are spent within the program and federal guidelines. The position requires a high level of communication skills both verbally and written, as well as customer service and interpersonal relationship skills. All skills associated with leadership and grant development are highly regarded as well as networking, negotiation and community development skills.

Training: Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: Four years full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area that is related to the area of employment.
