Load Assistants help our drivers to load their units onto their trailers in a safe an efficient manner. This is a physical position that allows workers to travel the US based on our customers needs. Primary Function
A load assistant will help support the loading/unloading process and will also be responsible for the checking in and distribution of cargo. They are responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. The loader assistant must also maintain and secure all equipment as directed by company policies, procedures, and operator manuals.

- Comply with all existing Federal, State, local and company requirements, rules and regulations.
- Confirm that truck is positioned and secured at proper loading/unloading dock.
- Wear all protective clothing and equipment.
- Ensure that truck loads do not exceed Department of Transportation (DOT) certification for the particular truck being loaded.
- Maintain compliance with O.S.H.A. standards.
- Communicate with facility supervisor on any problems as they occur.
- Complete all required paperwork.
- Evening and weekends work will be required as job duties demand.
- Report all accidents and issues regarding personal safety and product safety to your supervisor immediately
- Willing to travel at least 50% of the time (Out-of-State)
- Consistent and reliable performance and attendance is expected.
- Attend departmental, locational, and safety meetings (including conference calls) when necessary.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to comply with all company, local, State and Federal regulations
- Must be comfortable working in all conditions; inside and outside environment
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Must be willing to work weekends when needed
- Must be willing to travel out of state
