Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting our shareholders with various tasks related to legal case management and ensuring that our office runs smoothly.
Duties
- Assist founder in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and documents.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case strategies.
- Transcribe legal documents and correspondence with accuracy.
- Manage data entry tasks related to case management.
- Maintain organized records of all case-related documentation and correspondence.
- Collaborate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information for cases.
- Support project management efforts within the office to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor deadlines for filings and ensure compliance with court rules.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law office environment.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and documentation, particularly in civil litigation and labor law.
- Proficient in using legal software such as PCLaw and iManage for case management.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- A background in litigation is preferred but not required.
- Excel spreadsheet experience.
- Ability to organize and pay bills for multiple properties and entities.
- Extreme attention to detail.
