Landscape Operations Manager

We are currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and experienced Landscape Operations Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our landscaping teams and ensure the smooth execution of all landscaping and snow removal projects.

Position Summary:
The Landscape Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in managing our landscaping projects throughout the year. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a deep understanding of landscaping operations. The manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining the landscaping schedule, organizing and directing crews to job sites, and coordinating material orders for upcoming projects. In the winter season, they will be tasked with determining go-times for snow crews to clear snow and ice during storms.

Key Responsibilities:

Landscape Scheduling & Coordination:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive landscaping schedule for all ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Ensure that crews are assigned to the correct job sites and are equipped with the necessary tools, materials, and instructions to complete their work efficiently and on time.
• Manage job site preparation, including organizing materials and ensuring staging areas are properly set up for upcoming projects.

Crew Leadership & Direction:

• Supervise landscaping teams to ensure high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Provide guidance, support, and troubleshooting to crews on job sites as needed.
• Conduct regular check-ins with crew leaders and team members to address any issues or concerns.

Material Procurement & Inventory Management:

• Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials needed for landscaping projects.
• Maintain an organized inventory of supplies and materials, ensuring that job sites are well-stocked and prepared in advance.

Winter Operations Management:

• Oversee snow removal operations during the winter months, including determining go-times for snow crews based on weather forecasts and current conditions.
• Ensure that snow removal equipment is ready and properly maintained for efficient operation during storms.
• Coordinate with the snow removal team to ensure properties are cleared quickly and effectively.

Communication & Reporting:

• Maintain clear and open communication with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding project timelines, changes, or concerns.
• Provide regular updates and reports to management regarding the status of ongoing projects and the performance of the crews.
• Ensure that all paperwork, including time sheets, job reports, and material invoices, is completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Proven experience in landscaping, operations management, or a related field.
• Previous leadership experience in managing crews and coordinating complex projects is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Solid knowledge of landscaping operations, materials, and tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software for scheduling and reporting.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and move materials when necessary.
• Willingness to be on-call during snow events for winter operations.
