Job Title: Legal Compliance Specialist

Education Requirement: Paralegal Certification or equivalent
Job Summary:
Ascent Emergency Medical Center is seeking a Legal Compliance Specialist to support the legal and administrative functions of the facility. This role ensures compliance with TAC Rule 131, as well as state and federal regulations, and requires sound judgment in managing legal, compliance, and operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee legal compliance issues within the facility, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Manage legal case files, correspondence, and documentation.
- Coordinate legal and medical funding, as well as billing/coding compliance audits.
- Supervise marketing, business development, and public relations activities.
- Assist with financial operations, accounts receivable, and office administration.
- Maintain professional relationships with law firms, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure confidentiality and uphold patient rights.
Requirements
Schedule & Availability: The schedule for this position may vary based on the needs of the facility. In the event of an emergency or other urgent situations, the Legal Compliance Specialist may be required to work outside of traditional business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Paralegal Certification or equivalent required.
- Experience in legal compliance, healthcare administration, or related fields.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in compliance audits, billing, and marketing strategies.
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
