Position Title: Payroll Specialist

Reports To: Payroll Manager

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 annually

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing multiple invoices, weekly and bi-weekly payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing: Execute payroll functions for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy in employee wages, deductions, and benefits.

Invoice Management: Review and process payroll-related invoices, ensuring timely payments and reconciliation.

Data Entry: Enter approved employee data into payroll processes, including new hires, terminations, and status changes.

Compliance: Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance and avoid discrepancies.

Reporting: Generate and analyze payroll reports, including tax liabilities, labor costs, and employee compensation.

Collaboration: Work closely with HR and accounting teams to resolve any payroll-related issues and support audits.

System Management: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll software and tools to improve efficiency.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional support to employees regarding payroll inquiries and concerns.

Qualifications:

Education: BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Paycor, Paychex) and Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus (e.g., QBO, Certified Payroll (e.g., LCP Tracker)
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll processing.
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with employees and team members.
