Payroll & HR Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Payroll and HR professional to join our team. The Payroll & HR Specialist will manage the payroll process, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and maintain accurate payroll records. This position will also be responsible for maintaining employee updates in our payroll system, assigning and tracking trainings, and coordinating new hires.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the payroll process, including processing payroll, verifying payroll data, and ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to payroll, including tax withholding, benefits, and payroll deductions.
• Data management and regulatory reporting
• Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Ensure accurate employee data and maintain employee records.
• Communicate with employees and managers regarding payroll-related and HR inquiries
• Assign, track and manage electronic trainings
• Maintain electronic personnel files
• New hire support
• Provide support for audits related to payroll and benefits

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll accounting
• Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles and practices
• Experience with ADP strongly preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
