What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Outreach Coordinator position at YWCA Princeton?
YWCA Princeton is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator who will help advance and amplify the YWCA's mission and impact through the Advancement Department. The Community Outreach Coordinator will support volunteer efforts across the YWCA's program areas, serving as a key member of the advancement team dedicated to strategizing ways to increase volunteer engagement.
Efforts include organizing volunteers for both fundraising and outreach events. This individual will grow partnerships within the community, and work to inspire action within our community. They will participate within a dynamic and interactive team of staff members, volunteers, board members, and community supporters.
Primary duties and responsibilities
Outreach:
- Plan and coordinate a schedule of regular outreach tabling opportunities in the community.
- Maintain a calendar that includes community events, workshops, and other staff appearances for all YW departments in coordination with department directors.
- Represent the YWCA Princeton at outreach events and coordinate other YW staff members and volunteers for outreach engagements.
- Track and report outreach activities, engagement metrics, volunteer participation, and community feedback to measure the effectiveness of outreach efforts.
Volunteer Management:
- Effectively recruit, screen and train volunteers for all program areas and outreach opportunities, including training and onboarding processes.
- Schedule volunteers for all YWCA events, outreaches and activities.
- Create or improve systems to track and report on volunteer activities, and match volunteers to opportunities that suit their skills and interests.
- Assist Senior Team Members to nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners such as schools, churches, corporations and other non-profit agencies to increase volunteer engagement.
- Assist in the organization of special events.
- Additional duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of YWCA mission, programs and services.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate volunteers.
- Ability to disseminate information clearly and concisely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Ability to create and sustain positive working relationships at all levels of the agency: internal and external.
- Proven relationship building skills to support collaboration and partnership activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, communications, marketing, business or related fields.
- Outstanding written communication and presentation skills.
- Experience preparing reports.
- Prior non-profit experience a plus.

Salary : $20 - $22
