Your job:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the Black Forest GY model running on GCP.
• Lead the analysis and implementation of Change-the-Bank (CtB) enhancements based on Private Bank (PB) demand and TDI requirements for Black Forest GY.
• Ensure continuous monitoring and supervision of Black Forest model runs, including data validation processes.
• Act as a key point of contact for regulatory coordination related to the Black Forest GY model, ensuring adherence to requirements (e.g., GwG §10/§15, MoRM).
• Guide the further development and optimization of the underlying ML models (Isolation Forest, HDBSCAN) and rule-based components.
• Collaborate closely with DB stakeholders to communicate model performance, issues, and enhancement progress.
• Mentor mid-level engineers within the vendor team, particularly on Black Forest GY specifics.
• Actively participate in and help coordinate the intensive knowledge handover
• Lead the documentation efforts for Black Forest GY processes and enhancements.
• Support the final handover process to the new internal DB team towards the end of the engagement.

Your profile:

• 10 years of hands-on experience in Data Science and Machine Learning, applying models in a business context.
• Proven experience in leading the development, deployment, and maintenance of ML systems in production.
• Strong expertise in anomaly detection algorithms (specifically Isolation Forest) and clustering techniques (e.g., HDBSCAN).
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience within the banking industry, specifically focused on client transaction monitoring, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GwG).
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Significant experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services like BigQuery and Composer.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (specifically GitHub Actions).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during the critical handover phase.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to rapidly acquire complex domain knowledge.
• Terraform experience

Desired Skills (Plus):

• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with model explainability techniques (e.g., SHAP).
• Knowledge of Vertex AI, particularly Gemini Gen AI models.
