About Youth – P180:
Project 180 @ Simei is a youth centre under the umbrella of Fei Yue Community Services, established with the support of South East Community Development Council and the National Youth Council (NYC) in 2003. Project 180 @ Simei provides online counselling , as well as youth development programmes.
As a Programme Executive, you will take the lead in running our structured recreational fishing-based programmes, guiding participants in both fishing techniques and life skills. You’ll work closely with youth, families, and seniors, using fishing as a platform to foster confidence, resilience, and community belonging.
Responsibilities:
HOOKED Fishing
- Develop, lead and implement structured recreational fishing sessions for youths, families, and seniors.
- Collaborate with social workers to design and implement fishing programmes that support youth development and community engagement.
- Teach, guide, and demonstrate essential recreational fishing skills.
- Oversee programme logistics, including planning, budgeting and reporting.
- Develop and drive marketing campaign and outreach efforts to drive participation.
- Liaise and network with stakeholders to strengthen relationships and collaboration
- Ensure timely documentation and accurate data management to support programme delivery.
- Conduct ongoing evaluation to assess and enhance programme effectiveness
- Perform administrative tasks.
Others
- Conduct talks and workshops in school.
Requirements:
- Possess a minimum Degree in any field, though Degree in Social Work is preferred.
- Relevant 1 -2 years of experience in working with youths, families, or seniors is preferred.
- Demonstrate a strong passion for social innovation, community work, and recreational fishing.
- Demonstrates strong facilitation and engagement skills, particularly in outdoor settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with youths, families, seniors, and stakeholders.
- A team player with excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
- Demonstrates resourcefulness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexible and adaptable to varying situations.
- Exhibits personal effectiveness, independence, and strong time management skills.
- Basic knowledge and skills in recreational fishing are essential for this role.
- Willing and able to work on weekends, and expect that more of the working hours will be outdoor.
