Software and Applications Developer

Role Profile

The purpose of the role is to design application architecture, modules, and interface to ensure scalability, performance and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interfaces with business system analysts and end users to understand user needs, design solutions, gather and confirm requirements.
• Write design specification for application programmers to implement
• Design prototype to suite end-users need
• Work with application programmers for implementation
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing and performance testing to ensure quality of the application
• Provide technical guidance to the development team, including code review
• Plan for application migration and/or application to go-live.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Ensure all work activities comply with the company’s safe work procedures

Competence (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• Strong understanding of software development principle and methodology
• Proficiency in programming and database technologies
• Experience with front-end technology for user interface design
• Strong technical knowledge how to optimise the application performance using the latest hardware technology including GPU card.
• Exhibits strong programming skills in Golang, Java, Python, and JavaScript, along with proficiency in databases such as MongoDB and SQL Server, and web service technologies.

Requirements:

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment while effectively communicating with customers on enquiries
• Possesses strong technical knowledge and holds an application architect certification.
• Capable of handling routine tasks and managing moderately complex assignments.
• Exercises decision-making within defined scope of responsibilities
• Works independently within guidelines, defined procedures and directions
• Holds good knowledge of enterprise, AI, and mobile technologies.
• Demonstrates proven expertise in systems thinking and project management.

Education & Experience:​​​​​​​

• Degree in Computer Science / Information System / Software Engineering / Qualitative / Mathematical Science with minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
• Candidate who doesn’t meet working experiences but able to demonstrate strong domain knowledge may also be considered
