Role Profile
The purpose of the role is to lead the team in the design, development, implementation, optimisation, maintenance and troubleshooting of software application. Develop short- and long-term strategies for developing scalable software program/product either adhere to market research/management direction for the sales to market or opportunities generated by the sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the entirety of each software project and all team members.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting the quality standards and business objective.
Be responsible for designing and implementing the goals for the software development project his/her team in charge of, including cyber-security requirements and upgrade path.
Ensure complete documentations from requirement, design, interface, integration and test plan
Research new technology to strengthen the organisation’s development capabilities.
Define procedure to support the software application in production environment.
Interface with internal/external customers to understand the requirements, set priority, communicate direction and progress.
Coach the team in troubleshooting and bug fixes.
Ensure all work activities comply with the company’s safe work procedures
Competence (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Have prior experience in software development and design (Software Development Life Cycle)
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with software development methodologies
Strong business acumen
Ability to make decision
Take responsibility for outcomes
Requirements:
Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
Proficient in finding creative solutions to complex problems
Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
Ability to collaborate with and lead the team
Proven expertise in systems thinking and project management
Education & Experience:
Degree in Computer Science / Information System / Software Engineering / Qualitative / Mathematical Science with minimum 8 years of relevant working experience.
Candidate who doesn’t meet working experiences but able to demonstrate strong domain knowledge may also be considered
