IT Infrastructure Engineer [West | Up to $6K] RRKC

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and secure network infrastructure to support business operations. This role involves working with a variety of network technologies and devices—including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points—and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal network performance, security, and scalability.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls (especially Fortinet/Fortigate), and wireless systems.
• Conduct regular network assessments, security audits, and performance reviews to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Work with other IT professionals to align network strategies with organizational goals and security policies.
• Monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity issues and outages.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and policies.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in network engineering and infrastructure implementation.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).
• Proficient in configuring and managing Cisco and Fortinet/Fortigate network devices.
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, and network topologies.
• Demonstrated experience in network security best practices and tools.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA and CCNP are required.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel if required
