What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Administrative Assistant position at ARLINGTON HOTEL?
Summary:
The Administrative Assistant provides regular clerical and administrative support to the Chief Engineer; prepares correspondence and reports and is responsible for completion of various other tasks and projects that will help to ensure the smooth operation of the Engineering department.
Essential Functions:
Checks all engineers in and out daily, issues radios and monitors tools used. Ensures that radios and tools are returned each day * Creates purchase orders as requested, assists Chief Engineer with product research and maintains information for previous orders * Assists the Chief Engineer with Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Annual Preventative Maintenance logs and assignments * Maintains vendor logs and assists Chief Engineer with vendor relations. Acts as POC in absence of Chief * Sets-Up and maintain organized filing system * Develops and maintains forms and documents as requested. * Works closely with other departments logging needed repairs and assigning critical items to shift engineer * Works closely with other department heads on OOO room logs, ensuring effective communication on project progress
- Receives, sorts, distributes and processes incoming or outgoing mail.
- Coordinates schedules and makes arrangements for meetings, events, tests and/or similar activities. * Prepares reports including recommendations, feasibility, specs, and cost monitoring Skills required: * Highly effective communication skills, written and oral * Must be skilled with computer systems including Microsoft Office. * Must have comprehensive spreadsheet knowledge * Effectively manages multiple projects and deal with stressful situations
- Easily adapts to sudden and unexpected changes in work assignments
- Knowledge of mathematical functions including subtraction, addition, multiplication and division.
- Must have a professional attitude and work well with the team
- Must Maintain sensitive and confidential information.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop and lift up to 25lbs

Pay: From $14.50 per hour
