Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. This role is essential in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and be adept at managing employee relations, benefits administration, and HR systems. You will play a crucial role in supporting senior leadership while driving HR initiatives that align with our organizational goals.
Responsibilities for Human Resources
- Oversee the full spectrum of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management. This also includes DISC Assessments, Proliant E-Hire enrollment, headshots, business cards and other items as needed
- Manage employee relations issues and provide guidance on conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with employment labor laws and regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs and communicate options effectively to staff.
- Utilize HR software systems such as Proliant for efficient HR operations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategic HR initiatives that support business objectives.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors related to employee benefits and services.
- Monitor workers' compensation claims and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
- Prepare reports on HR metrics to inform decision-making processes.
- Lead employee recognition programs, including Bonusly & significant anniversary gifts/receptions and awards
- Perform 60-day check-ins for newly hired employees and annual retention interviews for all employees
- Create initiatives to enhance employee engagement, community engagement, and company culture (Lincoln Choice Awards, Annual Company Outings/Activities, etc)
- Participate in the Community Service Committee
- Create and publish internal monthly newsletter
- Help with scheduling and planning employee and customer events, as needed
- In charge of employee apparel and other logoed material, including the annual employee gift program
- Other duties as assigned
Experience
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and manage employee relations successfully.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
