We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. As a Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are accurately priced and that contracts are negotiated to meet both company and client needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on plans, specifications, and site visits.
- Analyze project requirements and collaborate with project managers to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimate.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam for takeoffs and cost analysis.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to estimates.
- Collaborate with the construction management team to address any discrepancies or changes in project scope.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction site operations.
- Familiarity with contract negotiation processes and construction management principles.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing and estimating projects accurately.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- A background in project management is a plus but not required.
