Job Overview
The Onboarding/Offboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle from the initial onboarding process through to the offboarding of employees. This role ensures that new hires are effectively integrated into the organization and that departing employees have a smooth transition. The specialist will work closely with various departments to enhance the employee experience and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
**Onboarding:**
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience.
- Coordinate pre-employment activities, including background checks, reference checks, and new hire paperwork.
- Conduct orientation sessions to introduce new employees to company culture, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to set up training and mentorship programs for new employees.
- Ensure all necessary equipment and resources are available for new hires on their first day.
**Offboarding:**
- Facilitate the offboarding process for employees exiting the organization, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and insights for improving retention strategies.
- Coordinate the return of company property and ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.
- Provide information regarding final pay, benefits, and retirement options to departing employees.
**Documentation and Compliance:**
- Maintain accurate records of onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Update the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) with new hire and termination information.
- Prepare reports and metrics related to onboarding and offboarding activities for management review.
**Employee Experience:**
- Serve as a point of contact for new hires and departing employees, addressing questions and concerns throughout the process.
- Collaborate with the HR team to enhance the onboarding and offboarding experience through continuous improvement initiatives.
Training and Development:**
- Assist in the development of onboarding and offboarding materials, including manuals, checklists, and training programs.
- Provide support for ongoing training initiatives related to employee engagement and retention.

Experience
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in HR, with a focus on onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
**Working Conditions:**
- This position may require occasional overtime during peak onboarding or offboarding periods.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
