Job Title: Temporary Accounts Payable Filing Clerk

Location: Secaucus, NJ

Job Type: Temporary (3 Weeks)

Job Summary:

Frederick Goldman is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temporary Accounts Payable Filing Clerk to assist our Accounts Payable team. The ideal candidate will support the department by maintaining accurate and efficient filing systems, ensuring proper documentation of invoices, and handling administrative tasks related to the payment process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and file physical and electronic accounts payable documents such as invoices, payment records, purchase orders, and vendor correspondence.
  • Assist in scanning, indexing, and archiving financial documents into the company’s document management system.
  • Ensure timely filing of all accounts payable records, maintaining an up-to-date and accessible filing system.
  • Verify that all filing is completed accurately and in compliance with internal policies and external audit requirements.
  • Assist with the retrieval of documents as requested by Accounts Payable staff for audits, vendor inquiries, or other purposes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive financial data.
  • Assist in basic clerical tasks such as data entry, mailing checks, or vendor follow-up when needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the Accounts Payable department, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in an office setting, preferably in an accounting or finance department.
  • Basic understanding of accounts payable processes and terminology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with document management systems.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
