We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will primarily handle Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, with a secondary focus on Accounts Payable (AP) tasks. The role requires proficiency in pulling reports from Yardi and Excel, high-volume data entry, and ensuring the accuracy of tenant collections and disbursements. Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (80%):

Log into the bank portal to pull collection information for 7-10 accounts daily.
Identify the tenant associated with each collection and input the data into Yardi and Excel.
Monitor balances and resolve discrepancies for over 2000 tenants, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Reconcile AR accounts and maintain detailed records of collections.
Communicate with tenants regarding outstanding balances and assist in resolving payment issues.

Accounts Payable (20%):

Assist with year-end 1099 process, ensuring all necessary forms are prepared and distributed.
Support quarterly tax payment preparation and filing.
Organize financial documentation and assist auditors with requested reports and schedules.
Process disbursements, including ACH and wire payments, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

Required Qualifications:

Strong experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
Proficient in Yardi, Excel, and bank portal systems.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume data entry.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for internal coordination and tenant interactions.
Knowledge of year-end processes and tax filings is a plus.
