Accounts Receivable Professional
$22 - $26 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Monitor receivables on a daily basis, identify balances requiring action, and engage in collection efforts as appropriate.
- Collaborate with sales and service professionals, and initiate direct client contact as necessary, to advance collection efforts.
- Build and maintain relationships with teammates of all levels, including senior leadership.
- Conduct research and provide account reconciliations or supporting details to stakeholders to justify balances owed.
- Provide monthly statements and reminder notices to clients according to procedure.
- Review accounts with credit endorsements and unapplied payments, communicate with sales/service teammates to confirm necessary action, and apply funds as appropriate.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improved efficiency and beneficial procedure or workflow adjustments.
- Communicate with sales/service teammates regarding all returned client checks to arrange for immediate replacement of funds.
Requirements:
- Experience in accounts receivable in an insurance agency/brokerage firm.
- Strong attention to detail and highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to act with responsiveness, urgency and professionalism in all matters while prioritizing responsibilities and proactively accomplishing goals.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- College Degree or equivalent education, training or work-related experience.
- Knowledge of insurance specific systems and applications.
