Bookkeeper

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation to verify the accuracy of account balances.
• Assist with budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and insights.
• Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks, or other relevant tools for efficient record-keeping.
• Prepare tax documents and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist in preparing financial reports for management review.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles including debits and credits.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and journal entries is essential.
• Excellent 10-key typing skills for efficient data entry.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
