JOB SUMMARY


Role title: Operational Manager Denmark

Reports to: Country Manager

Reporting line: District Manager, Operational Planning & Recruitment, Facilities Maintenance and Training.

(Reporting lines and structures are subject to change based on organizational growth and evolving business needs).

As an Operational Manager, you are responsible for the daily operations and development of JOE & THE JUICE’s stores in Denmark. You are accountable for all stores adhering to market-specific legal requirements, company policies, and compliance structures. You are expected to have a full financial and operational holistic overview of the market by developing and leading your employees with a commercial mindset, resulting in a strong culture with highly engaged employees.


In the role, you will be working in collaboration with the Country Manager, and District Managers whom you will have direct management- and personal responsibility for. The reporting line also includes Operational Planning & Recruitment, Facilities and Training, in which you will work closely with to ensure the highest standards within the Circle of Operational Excellence.


Your overall success in this position depends on the degree to which you can lead and develop highly engaged District- and Store Managers, where all operational conceptual in-store requirements are followed in order to deliver best-in-class guest experiences turning regular customers into beloved returning guests. Ultimately you are accountable for the District Manager’s meeting their cost budget, reaching their sales targets, and store level profits (SLP).


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Collaborate with the Country Manager to develop and execute strategic plans that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of JOE & THE JUICE stores in Denmark, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Foster a culture of Food Safety and Health & Safety across all operations teams.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring to the District- and Store managers. Promote a positive team culture and ensure consistent skill development.
  • Lead, develop and follow up on District Managers, ensuring their performance meets company standards and expectations.
  • Implement operational best practices to optimize efficiency, productivity, and quality, ensuring consistent store experiences.
  • Lead the development and implementation of training programs, new routines and new product launches to equip team members with the skills to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Coordinate quarterly focus areas for District- and Store Managers, collaborating with functions such as Training, Facilities, Supply Chain, and HR, to establish a productive, clear, and realistic operational agenda, supporting company objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication channels between Operations and support functions. Relay market-specific insights, challenges, and opportunities to management team.
  • Ensure internal communication is professional, aligns with guidelines, and is well-timed to maximize impact and workforce engagement.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address operational inefficiencies. Ensure market have action plans in place to drive continued improvements where inefficiencies are identified.
  • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to uncover trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support new store openings and assist in refurbishments and the up shine cycle as needed.


KEY QUALIFICATIONS - What experience you’ll add to the team


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role
  • Experience in operating stores in a food & beverage chain is a requirement
  • Experience in leading teams through store managers
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and performance management skills
  • A proven track record in optimizing overall store performance across multiple stores
