ABOUT JOE GYM

JOE GYM is our upcoming newly established members-only Health Club opening in June 2025. The concept has been conceptualized by our very first Juicer, Philip “Pippo” Finsteen, with the ambition of putting our company culture into a Health Club located less than 50 meters from our very first established Joe & the Juice store in the heart of Copenhagen.


The overall vision of JOE GYM is to create an environment of health and ambiance, where social ties interconnect the house trainers, receptionists, and Health Club members experiencing the unique ambient JOE atmosphere as known from our stores. The JOE GYM is located at Grønnegade 3, 1107 København K, and consists of a 240m2 fully functioning professional fitness facility, gym house classes, and a wellness area with sauna, cold plunge ice bath, and tropical showers ensuring the best conditions to both stay healthy and fully recover after each training session.


JOB SUMMARY

The Gym Receptionist plays a key role in delivering a welcoming, inclusive, and professional environment for our members and guests. Reporting directly to the Gym Manager, Ibrahim Mansaray, you will be the first point of contact, responsible for greeting members warmly, assisting with towels, beverages, and general needs to ensure a premium member experience. You will manage front desk operations, including handling phone and email inquiries, managing bookings, processing POS transactions, and supporting VIP requests.


Daily tasks include maintaining a clean and organized reception area, playing curated music, and supporting sales. You’ll oversee cleanliness across the gym and wellness area, ensuring equipment and facilities are sanitized, towels are laundered, and spaces such as the sauna and cold plunge are well-maintained, including the restroom area. Compliance with health and safety regulations is essential.


In addition, you’ll support house trainer classes and ensure smooth class execution is facilitated timely. This dynamic role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, service-minded attitude to help deliver a seamless wellness experience.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Member Experience & Front Desk Operations

  • Warmly greet and assist members with towels, water, coffee/tea, and general needs.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, bookings, and manage the POS system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception area; sell gym items and play appropriate music.
  • Provide exceptional service for VIP guests and ensure all guests feel welcome.


Facility & Wellness Maintenance

  • Perform daily cleaning: empty trash, sanitize equipment, maintain toilets, wellness floors, and fill out cleaning checklist.
  • Oversee wellness area (sauna, cold plunge, tropical showers): maintain cleanliness, ensure dry floors, and stock products.
  • Refill cups at water/coffee stations, wash and dry towels, and ensure the facility complies with health and safety standards.
  • Report damaged equipment or other issues to the Gym Manager.


Trainer & Class Support

  • Support and coordinate house trainer classes; ensure trainers and members are on time and classes are confirmed in the system.
  • Foster clear and positive communication between trainers and staff.


KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or guest service role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in Danish and English.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Friendly and professional behavior.
  • Basic experience with computers and office software.
  • A passion for working with people in a gym environment and having social skills.
