Senior Master Data Management (MDM) Associate – Digitalization, Compliance & Process Optimization
The position as Senior MDM Associate is a newly established role based at our Global Headquarters in Copenhagen and a part of our Group Finance department in the Finance Shared Services sub-department within the P2P (Procure-to-Pay) team. This is a global role with close cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Procurement, and IT, and will report directly to our Head of P2P.
The role as Senior MDM Associate will be responsible for the end-to-end master data processes across 11 countries, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency within D365FO (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations). The role will play player in automating and standardizing finance workflows, transforming the current mailbox-driven approach into a structured ticketing system.
As part of the P2P team the role will work closely with finance, procurement, and IT to streamline and enhance finance-related master data management, ensuring scalability as the company grows. The role will optimizing processes and building scalable solutions in an international environment and take ownership of finance-related master data processes with a key role in our ERP transformation and workflow automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage all finance-related master data (vendors, customers, chart of accounts, cost centers, etc.) across 11 countries.
- Ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistency in all master data processes.
- Build, implement, and manage workflow automation within D365FO, improving efficiency and control.
- Lead the transformation of the current mailbox-driven processes into a structured ticketing environment for master data requests and issue resolution.
- Develop and enforce master data governance policies and controls to ensure audit readiness.
- Collaborate with P2P, Finance, and IT teams to optimize master data structures and support business needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation, ensuring scalability as the company expands.
- Act as a subject matter expert in MDM best practices, compliance, and system enhancements.
Key Qualifications
- Experienced finance professional with a strong background in master data management (MDM), finance operations, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably D365FO.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, including P2P, O2C, and general ledger structures.
- Passionate about digitalization, automation, and workflow optimization.
- Detail-oriented with a structured and analytical mindset.
- Proactive and solution-driven, able to streamline complex processes and implement best practices.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with multiple stakeholders.
