Summary of of work/ Job Purpose:
The IT Auditor is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of IT controls, cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance processes within the organization. This role ensures that IT systems, cloud environments, and applications comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies, while also identifying potential risks and recommending improvements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform IT audits on cybersecurity, cloud security, IT operations, and IT governance
- Assess compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, SOC 2, and other applicable regulations
- Conduct IT risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement
- Review IT policies, system configurations, and user access management controls
- Assess cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and IT infrastructure security
- Evaluate IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT Application Controls (ITAC)
- Identify cybersecurity risks and recommend security enhancements
- Review incident management procedures and perform post-incident audits
- Evaluate IT processes, system development lifecycle (SDLC), and DevOps security
- Conduct audits of databases, networks, trading platforms, and payment systems
- Assess disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Monitor IT-related incidents and track corrective actions
- Support regulatory audits and external IT assessments (e.g., CMA, FCA, CySEC, JSC, DFSA)
- Assist in regulatory reporting and ensure IT compliance with financial regulations
- Document IT audit findings and recommend process improvements
- Any other duties relevant to the role
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT auditing, risk assessment, cybersecurity in financial services is preferred
