Location: Monaghan

Salary: up to €60,000

An excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global manufacturing company based in Monaghan. Reporting to the Head of Design, you will lead design projects from conception to completion.

The Role:

• Develop new designs from initial concept to implementation and improve existing designs.
• Work with sales team to visit customer sites to confirm customers' equipment requirements.
• Implementation and maintenance of Lean systems for production process.
• Work closely with our production team during the manufacturing process.
• Creation of BOMs.
• Verify designs using traditional analytical methods in conjunction with dynamic and finite element analysis software.
• Assess and implement continuous improvement for production process.

The Person:

• Degree educated in a relevant engineering related subject.
• 3 years’ experience in a similar design role with experience of managing projects from start to finish.
• Experience using SolidWorks.
