Due to continued growth, we are currently hiring a Software Developer to join our team. emagine is a high-end professional services consultancy and solutions firm specialising in providing business and technology services to clients in all sectors.

This role is part of a large multi-year program to implement a new finance platform using OneStream, a market-leading Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution. We are looking for an experienced developer with expertise in an object-oriented language, ideally VB.net or C#, involving responsibilities across analysis, design and development for OneStream applications.

A snapshot of your key responsibilities:

• 
  Collaborate with business customers to understand their business requirements.
• Interpret, solution design and correctly implement business requirements.
• Providing application support for built solutions.
• Provide estimates of work to assist in project planning activity.
• Design low-maintenance, sustainable and scalable software solutions to meet business requirements.
• Reduce technical debt where appropriate.
• Liaise with peer system owners to ensure any impacts are properly understood, documented, and mitigated against from an up and downstream perspective.
• Build solutions using established industry best practices, technologies, and standards.
• Support business users through User Acceptance Testing.
• Deploy solutions with care and contingency in mind.
• Release Management, Runbook and Hypercare support/planning.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues from Architecture, Infrastructure, Business Analysis, Test and Digital Operations.
• Accurately document technical designs, constraints and code base to facilitate knowledge repository, cross-training and impact assessments.
• Ensure compliance with all organisational, legal, regulatory and department standards including SOX compliance and Security.
• Become a OneStream expert through project work, continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in OneStream.

Requirements:

• 
  A degree in software engineering, computing, or related.
• 3 years professional experience working in a Software Engineer/Developer role.
• Certification in any object-oriented programming language, ideally VB.net or C#.
• Knowledge of the full SDLC.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment is desirable.
• Must be a Self-Starter, exhibit intellectual curiosity and keen to constantly improve and make the team more efficient in delivering value to the business.
• Must be able to take initiative and work independently while maintaining strong team relations.
• Positive, can-do attitude towards a very demanding internal customer base.
• Well-developed vendor/partner management and relationship building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Technical/Functional:

• 
  Proficiency in VB.NET and / or C# programming languages.
• Proficiency in SQL, data integration, and database concepts.
• Outstanding MS Office and data modelling skills.
• Development of PowerBI or other similar solutions is an advantage.
• Experience building UI design
• Good understanding of version control software (branching, merging etc.).
• Excellent time and work management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Experience with OneStream (preferred) or other multi-dimensional platforms (TM1, Oracle, SAP, OneStream, Tagetik, Adaptive) is an advantage.
