Shop Manager

4M Trucking, one of the leading aggregate hauling companies in East Texas, is seeking an experienced, inspired, and mission-driven Diesel Service Manager to join our growing team!

The Service Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our diesel service company. He or She will be responsible for safety, client satisfaction, inventory and operational management, team engagement and recognition, and the financial performance of the shop. The Service Manager will report to the CFO and CEO.

3 plus years of experience in the following responsibilities:

· upholding safety standards and regulations

· Driving timely service

· Guiding recruiting efforts

· Ensuring the availability of parts

· Monitoring operating expenses

· Developing and communicating team goals

· Leading performance assessments and training efforts

· Overseeing the daily operations of the service center

· Managing a team of technicians and service advisors

· Scheduling and assigning work to technicians

· Ensuring timely and efficient completion of repairs and maintenance tasks

· Inspecting and repairing vehicles with diesel engines

· Handling routine repairs, including oil and tire changes

· Interpreting diagnostic test results accurately

· Writing detailed inspection reports and repair plans

· Working amicably and collaborating with management staff, corporate executives, and drivers

· Hiring, training, and managing a team of trainees

· Collaborating with other diesel mechanics

· Presenting reports and plans to clients for approval

· Advising drivers, company, and independent clients on repair options and costs

The starting base salary $55,000, depending on experience and availability, with a 90-day review with the possibility for the addition of profit-based commissions.
