Accounts Payable Accountant

The Accounts Payable Accountant will serve as a key contributor to the Accounting and Finance team and report to the Manager, Accounting & Reporting and work collaboratively with other company departments and personnel.

What you’ll do:

• Accounts Payable processing of invoices, consultants, doctors, employee expense reports and other
• Timely preparation, review and processing of AP items i.e. proper coding and due dates and related communication
• Management and processing of weekly check runs including automated checks, manual checks, ACH and wire transfers
• Troubleshoot & assist when necessary with resolving discrepancies
• Maintain & update vendor records in Dynamics GP and supporting documentation
• Perform monthly review and reconciliation of corporate credit card accounts and T&E Processing
• Assist in month end close reconciliations
• Perform routine and ad hoc analysis as needed
• Respond quickly and accurately to all inquiries while providing the highest level of customer service (internal and external customers)
• Provide support for special projects and other cross-functional initiatives assigned by management
• Train other team members as resources as needed
• Work with external auditors and support financial statement, tax and other audits, as necessary

Qualifications

What we’d love to see:

• Minimum of 3 years years experience in accounts payable with general ledger exposure
• Proven understanding of accrual based accounting practices
• Associates degree in business, accounting or finance is preferred
• Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office tools
• Experience with accounting systems – Great Plains is a plus
• Knowledge and experience in wire and ACH (Automated Clearing House) transfers
• Knowledge of state sales and use tax processes
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy while maximizing efficiency

Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
