What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at Acoustic Sounds, Inc?
Responsible for a variety of accounting functions, focusing on accounts receivable, posting of payments, and report generation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Posting of all payments in accounting software for Accounts Receivable.
● Daily reconciling of PayPal and credit card payments with the order management system.
● Weekly reconciliation of Ebay orders with the payout report.
● Bi-weekly reconciliation of Amazon orders with the payout report.
● Maintaining expense allocation for the breakdown of shipping bills.
● Prepare monthly Accounts Receivable statements and work with Customer Service and customers to ensure timely payments.
● Responsible for reporting sales and cost of goods from the website sales.
● Review Sales Tax Returns for multiple states and maintain supporting documentation.
● Prepare Bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
● Process multiple Credit Card reconciliations.
● Cross train & assist in other accounting positions as needed.
● Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
● Experience, 2-3 years preferred, and/or education in accounting and sales tax procedures
● Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis in Excel.
● Experience with ERP software, Google Workspace and QuickBooks preferred.
● Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, compute numbers, and use accounting formulas.
● Ability to maintain positive work relationships through clear communication in a complex environment.
