AMS is seeking someone to join the Team as a Remote EEG Monitoring Technician. This role is a remote position.
Candidates must have prior EEG reading experience. Ideal candidates will bring prior experience as a registered technician.
To have success in this role, a candidate MUST be able to thrive under pressure by multi-tasking to support team related goals and care for the patient. This position will be based out of the Houston metro area but is remote in nature.
As a Remote EEG Monitoring Tech, some of the job functions include:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Competence in deciphering artifacts from cortical activity
- Proficient in operating and troubleshooting multiple EEG instruments and software
- Pruning EEG studies
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the neurological system
- Archiving appropriate records of all studies and file locations and maintaining clinical databases
- Documents appropriately to meet industry standards and company policies
- Serve as contact with any technical aspects that may interfere with EEG interpretation/report generation
- Ability to work remotely, and independently, without distraction
- Excellent computer and technological skills
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor, able to interact well with hospital staff, neurologists and other remote technologists
- All technologists must demonstrate knowledge of normal and abnormal adult, pediatric, and neonatal EEG patterns
- Full understanding of HIPAA and ability to remain compliant at all times.
Qualifications
- 3 years of EEG experience required
- R.EEGT. and/or CLTM preferred
- Knowledge of Cadwell EEG equipment preferred
