Summary
Work in collaboration with financial staff to organize and coordinate the preparation of the Water Authority’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). Utilize computer models and accounting software to provide technical assistance to higher level supervisory and management staff and all departments in the recording and reporting of financial transactions. Analyze, review, evaluate and reconcile all funds and accounts.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, plus five (5) years of accounting experience in analyzing and reconciling chart field accounts, which must include at least three (3) years of financial statement preparation or governmental accounting.
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Position Requirements
Possess a Valid New Mexico Driver's License or a Valid Driver's License from another State converted to New Mexico within 1 month
Driving Record consistent with being issued an Authority Operator Permit by Risk Management
Salary Range
$29.60 - $35.39 Hourly
