Trust Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Trust Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for providing accounting support, specifically focused on managing trust and escrow accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial transactions and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain up-to-date financial records, including journals, ledgers, and transaction logs.
• Process deposits into trust and escrow accounts (checks, wire transfers, ACH payments).
• Approve, print, and distribute trust and escrow checks.
• Initiate and manage outgoing wire transfers via online banking systems.
• Reconcile daily bank activity to ensure accurate and complete transaction records.
• Collaborate with attorneys, accounting personnel, and banking contacts.
• Generate reports and compile financial data as requested by leadership.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies through collaboration and follow-up.
• Support internal and external audit efforts by providing requested documentation.
• Handle confidential financial information with the highest level of integrity.
• Assist with special assignments and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience in trust or escrow accounting.
• Experience with accounting systems and online banking platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
