ASSYST is seeking a Telestaff Expert with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Kronos Telestaff, specifically within law enforcement environments. This expert will serve as the County’s primary authority on Telestaff configuration, responsible for aligning system rules with complex union contracts, remedying security and rule conflicts, and ensuring operational continuity during the system’s migration to the cloud. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background, proven experience working with union leadership, and the ability to coordinate with the Kronos vendor to troubleshoot and resolve advanced system issues.
Job Title: Kronos Telestaff Expert
Location: Rockville, MD (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain Telestaff according to law enforcement and union-specific work rules.
- Ensure compliance with all directives, union contract provisions, and scheduling policies.
- Collaborate with union representatives to confirm accuracy and gain acceptance of all configurations.
- Identify and resolve conflicts in Telestaff configuration and rule enforcement.
- Support knowledge transfer and training of new Telestaff administration team members.
- Guide and implement changes to callback assignments and the formation of specialized callback groups.
- Maintain and update documentation and training materials to reflect current system configurations and best practices.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for any Telestaff-related issues.
- Lead efforts in transitioning the Telestaff system from a server-based infrastructure to Kronos Workforce Central (cloud-hosted).
Required Experience:
- 10 years of direct Telestaff experience, including configuration and administrative support.
- Experience resolving security schema issues and formatting in accordance with industry best practices.
- Hands-on experience in resolving rule conflicts within complex Telestaff environments.
- Formal vendor-based training in Telestaff system management and configuration.
- Proven ability to provide guidance to system administrators on best practices and proper role-based security assignment.
- Experience in forming and maintaining specialized callback groups and minimum hour work rules.
- History of collaboration with union leadership during Telestaff implementation or updates.
- Demonstrated ability to assist in Telestaff cloud migration efforts.
