Job Description
Manages various resources and coordinates appropriately to ensure that stock is readily available, oversees the decisions related to scheduling the meetings of suppliers and vendors, negotiates best prices, ensures timely payments, stays on top of any credits due to the company, and keeps a check on the market trends.
- Maintains a list of materials regularly used and coordinates with vendors to ensure a consistent and regular supply is maintained at the vendor and readily available to Atlas.
- Orders materials for Manufacturing.
- Keeping up with industry pricing and negotiating prices and net terms.
- Developing vendor relations to meet our internal customer demands.
- Provides purchase orders as needed and required.
- Provides necessary parties with ETA/promise date and any other pertinent info at the time of purchase.
- Conducts follow up on purchase orders to ensure due dates are kept.
- Outsourcing when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
- Proven experience in purchasing, negotiation, and procurement
- Familiarity with SAP, JD Edwards, or other ERP systems
- Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze pricing and production planning data
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
