Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Cranberry Twp., PA (On-site)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and client meetings.
- Draft and file legal documents, including motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
- Conduct legal research on criminal law statutes, case law, and precedents.
- Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel professionally.
- Coordinate schedules for court appearances, depositions, and consultations.
- Perform administrative tasks such as invoicing, calendaring, and maintaining client records.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years experience as a criminal law paralegal.
- Strong understanding of criminal law procedures and terminology.
- Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase).
- Familiarity with local court rules and e-filing systems.
- Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
