What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Better Living Medical?
- Greet Patient's.
- Register patient's and verify all records are up to date and accurate.
- Confirm patient's insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Receive and sort mail.
- Answer phones and direct calls if needed. Check voicemail throughout the day and return messages.
- Check emails and respond to any messages.
- Check fax machine throughout the day and respond accordingly.
- Order supplies as needed.
- Submit and retrieve medical records requests.
- Review charts and make sure all necessary documentation is obtained prior to scheduling appointments.
- Submit prior authorizations to insurance for review and follow up on response.
- Perform other assignments/duties as given by supervisor.
Experience/Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior experience in medical office environment and/or reception preferred.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe proficient.
- Comfortable with using multiple web based applications daily.
- Understanding of HIPAA.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
