The Bluewater Vacation Rentals firm includes our Vacation and Annual Property Management Division along with laundry, housekeeping, maintenance, and our pool and spa departments which employ over 100 professionals. We are one of the largest employers in Carteret County.
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious accounting professional to join the team on- site in Emerald Isle, NC. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for assisting business needs and leadership as well as employee inquiries. The opportunity exists for this role to expand in scope within the finance and accounting organization based on performance.
What You’ll Do:
Help cultivate a positive culture and working environment for employees. This includes helping to organize events supporting our community, helping plan fun internal events, and working with marketing to help highlight both for our team and owners.
- Coordinate “new hires” processing including completion of pertinent employment forms, benefits forms, etc. and forwarding to appropriate outside contacts.
- Serve as initial “liaison” to all personnel and communicate any concerns to the Director of Human Resources.
- Coordinate “terminated employees” process including completion of pertinent personnel forms, insurance forms such as COBRA notices, etc.
- Coordinate activities in personnel recruitment including advertisements, assisting managers with interviews, appropriate background research and references.
- Administer student/observer requests, scheduling and performing student orientation and maintaining student records.
- Maintain personnel files, including address/phone number changes and filing any paperwork in individual employee files.
- Communicate any records of worker’s compensation, EEO, ADA, FMLA, unemployment and other employee claims to the Director of Human Resources.
- Interact with departmental managers to ensure compliance of employment/practice regulations and policies.
- Participate in annual open enrollment benefit period and assists with benefits document changes.
- Provide assistance to employees regarding work-related injuries.
What You’ll Need to be Successful:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous hospitality/customer service experience or B.S. in Business Administration/Human Resources is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality for HR and payroll issues.
- Knowledge of recruitment, interviewing, and reference checking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and demands.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain composure when confronted with stressful situations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and providers.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Position requirements: On-site opportunity based in Emerald Isle, NC.
Compensation: $15-$18/hr DOE. In addition to the base salary, may be eligible for an annual performance bonus that is based on individual and company performance.
Compensation is based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
