What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Boston Yacht Club?
Private yacht club located in the Marblehead is seeking a qualified and motivated staff person to join our fun and dynamic team. We pride ourselves on providing great service while offering excellent culinary creations to our membership.
Shifts are typically 6 hours with both day (9am-3pm) and night (3pm-9pm) shifts available. We are looking for someone who can work a minimum of 2-4 shifts per week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer phones, take dining room reservations and perform various administrative duties.
- Check in and check out hotel room guests.
- Facilitate sales of club merchandise for our membership.
- Maintain accurate and complete shift notes and inquiry tracking to ensure successful communication with leadership.
- Facilitate special requests for our members.
- Approach all encounters with members and colleagues in a gracious, attentive, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Respect the privacy, information, priorities, time, and resources of each member.
- Communicate member concerns to management.
- Maintain regular attendance and highest standards of personal appearance and grooming.
- Additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to work a combination of days, nights and weekends.
- Positive, outgoing, and attentive demeanor.
- Able to multitask competing priorities in a detail oriented fashion.
- 2 years previous front-of-house customer service experience in the hotel/ hospitality, and/or corporate environment required.
- Strong oral, listening, organizational and written skills including proficient word processing and strong computer knowledge including programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and Clubsoft.
- Ability to demonstrate a history of proven reliability and consistency.
