As General Manager, you’ll take full ownership of studio performance—leading a dynamic team, growing membership, and creating a top-tier member experience. What You'll Be Doing
Sales and Membership Growth
- Drive studio growth through lead generation, conversion, and member retention.
- Coach and support your team to consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
- Build strong relationships with members to create a loyal community.
- Cultivate corporate partnerships and lead outreach efforts to bring in new members.
Marketing and Community Engagement
- Lead grassroots marketing campaigns and local event partnerships.
- Represent the studio at community events, pop-ups, and business networking opportunities.
- Find creative ways to build brand awareness and grow studio visibility in Oakland.
Studio Operations and Leadership
- Oversee daily operations and deliver an exceptional in-studio experience.
- Recruit, train, and mentor front desk and sales staff.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and operational flow at all times.
- Manage inventory, supplies, and scheduling to keep things running smoothly.
Performance and Business Strategy
- Track performance metrics including revenue, retention, and studio usage.
- Implement strategies to optimize profitability and member engagement.
- Collaborate with studio ownership on growth targets and financial goals.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience in fitness, hospitality, or retail management.
- A proven background in sales, revenue generation, and team leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, motivating presence.
- A self-starter who thrives on problem-solving and process building.
- Experience in local marketing, outreach, and brand promotion.
- Passion for fitness, wellness, and delivering meaningful client experiences.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: Starting at $70,000 annually
- Commission: $5,000–$8,000 per year based on performance
- Revenue Share Bonus: 1–3 percent once profitability benchmarks are met
