The Floor Technician will utilize specialized equipment and techniques to perform tasks effectively while adhering to safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform carpet cleaning, buffing, and maintenance of various floor types, including tile, vinyl, and hardwood.
- Conduct routine inspections of floors to identify areas needing attention or repair.
- Execute commercial cleaning tasks, ensuring all areas are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained.
- Operate floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums safely and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
- Adhere to environmental services protocols to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with custodial staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to facility cleanliness.
Requirements
- Proven experience in floor care or custodial services is preferred.
- Knowledge of carpet cleaning techniques and commercial cleaning practices.
- Familiarity with buffing machines and other floor maintenance equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
