As a home health aide, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assisting with mobility and transfers to ensure patient safety
- Administering medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitoring vital signs and reporting changes or concerns to medical personnel
- Offering emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
Job Requirements:
- Certified Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed
- Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency
- Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills
- Age 18 or older
