Job Duties

Provides support, in a staff capacity, by focusing on intermediate term program issues with agency wide application. Characteristic duties include: program development, planning, monitoring, analysis, grants management, recommending policies and procedures, program research, and evaluating changes in rules, regulations and legislative proposals for impact on service delivery. Thorough knowledge of program management, analytical principles and service integration is necessary. Responsibilities are carried out independently based on an outline or work plan developed by or approved by the supervisor.

This is a grant funded restricted position. The availability of funding is scheduled for review annually. Continued employment is contingent on the continued availability of grant or non-general funds.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrates skill in project planning, requirements gathering, procedural writing, problem-solving, active listening, negotiation, written and oral communication, organization and time management, and presentation skills. Background in training and education a plus.
• Able to manage, coordinate, and prioritize multiple activities concurrently with limited supervision and to adjust efficiently and effectively to changing priorities.
• Knowledge and experience using multiple project management methodologies.
• Ability to blend methodologies together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
• Must be flexible and able to operate effectively in a changing environment with multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow-through
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
• Customer service skills, creative and innovative, solutions oriented.
• Ability to work independently or across collaborative teams.
• School nursing experience

Additional Considerations

• Communication and correspondence on behalf of SHNC as needed.
• Establish workgroups and focus groups.
• Collect and analyze data.
• Share trusted school health resources.
• Disseminate information to school nurses in a timely manner on behalf of SHNC.
