Crisis Center LPN/RN - Nurse (Weekend Days)

Job Overview

Join our dedicated team at Compass Health as a Nurse LPN/RN in our Crisis Center Stabilization Center, where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate psychiatric care. This position entails providing direct and indirect patient care during weekend days, specifically Saturday and Sunday, through 12-hour shifts. We are proud to offer a sign-on bonus of $2,400 to support our critical service needs within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including health assessments, pain assessments, vital sign monitoring, and general patient care for individuals entering the Crisis Stabilization Center.
• Administer medications, oversee self-administration, and maintain accurate medication records through the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
• Conduct patient education concerning physical health and medication management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and coordinate care with staff, families, and healthcare providers.
• Document observable changes in patients' behavior, attitude, and physical condition.
• Assist with various diagnostic and treatment procedures as necessary.
• Educate new staff members on procedures and protocols in a supportive manner.
• Participate in team and leadership meetings as assigned, contributing to the development of best practices.
• Engage effectively with patients, including those who may exhibit agitation.
• Be prepared to partake in mandatory overtime when required.

• Experience in providing direct patient care to adults, particularly in a psychiatric setting.

Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree in nursing is required, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of one year of psychiatric experience is necessary; experience in a hospital or acute care environment is advantageous.
• A valid LPN or RN license in Missouri is required.
