Work you’ll do
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Manager will support the Inclusion & Belonging (I&B) pillar, serve as the collaboration point for several national communities, and collaborate across the organization to develop, plan, and execute priority Inclusion & Belonging programming.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the development and execution of priority I&B programming
- Serve as an advisor and a central point of collaboration for National Communities
- Collaborate with National Communities on priorities and progress related to strategy, equity interventions and external impact
- Develop and plan large scale in-person and virtual events
- Manage project issues/changing scope/expectations
- Create clear and effective communications to various audiences
- Produce quality deliverables and executive presentations
- Foster an inclusive team culture and continuously work to elevate team’s DEI knowledge and capabilities
- May direct the work and manage the performance of other team members

The team
Under the direction of the Chief DEI Officer, the National Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) office develops and drives the firm’s national DEI strategy. This role will report directly to the Inclusion & Belonging Leader and focus on the firm’s mission to set the standard for DEI by creating the culture and the systems that ensure everyone is empowered to thrive as their exceptional selves and reach their full potential.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years of related experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Ability to travel up to 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Project and team management experience
- Experience preparing executive level presentations
Preferred:

- Self-starter and self-manager who is comfortable with ambiguity
- Ability to confidently interact and interface with all levels within the firm, including leadership

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000 to $191,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
