STAFF SERVICES MANAGER II (Supervisory) – ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES / HUMAN RESOURCES / PERSONNEL TRANSACTIONS
The reporting location for this position is the Natural Resources Building, located at 715 P Street in Sacramento CA. This position will work under the general supervision of Staff Services III - Personnel Officer.
Under the general direction of the Personnel Officer (SSM III), the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II) serves as the Office Chief overseeing Payroll and Benefits Services, providing strategic leadership, expert guidance, and administrative oversight to ensure effective delivery of services. The Payroll and Benefits Office operates within a highly complex environment, involving detailed management of approximately 12 of the 21 bargaining unit contracts. This role is accountable for directing all aspects of employee payroll administration, appointments, comprehensive benefits coordination, attendance tracking, and separation processes, while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the unit.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as telework eligible-office centered.
